12
Water Systen Issues
-Distribution System
--Unlined cast iron pipe (1929)
--Pipe corrosion
---Chlorine
--Tuberculation
---Mineral Deposits
---Fe and Mn precipitation
---Iron bacteria (?)

14
Water System Issues
-Transmission Main between Tank and Distribution
System
--Asbestos Cement Pipe (asbestos only hazardous when
inhaled)
--Can become hazard when Village Water Dept. exposes,
cuts or repairs (fibers can become airborne)
--No problems reported nor apparent

15
Recommended Improvements
-Water Supply
--Seal Wellheads
--Generator Receptacle
-Water Treatment (disinfection)
--Back-up chemical pump and chemical containment
--Ventilation
--Insulate inside piping
--Chlorine Contact Piping (140 ft. +/-)
